power windows

in all of the other cars ive owned (even an older accord) i was be able to operate the power windows after turning the car off until i opened the door. in my civic as soon as i turn the car off i cant use the power windows. does anyone have any ideas on how i could wire my power windows to work like this?

you need a relay.. to create a delay in the power shut off... alot of cars have this feature... VW's the radio plays til the key is totaly removed..as well as other... you need to remember we have the crappiest car honda makes... its the bottem line in their car line up.. we have crap.

My 3rd gen Civic can roll windows up&down because those are hand powered windows! j/k j/k
Yeah! I never realize that feature until my aunt gave me a ride in her Odyssey.

it's simple, no relay = 17k for civic ex. deal with it, theres no easy way to make it do that.

On my dads '99 GMC truck & my moms '01 Monte Carlo SS, the power windows & the radio all work after you turn the car off & remove the key, up until you open the door, then it shuts off. But for the price of those vehicles (about $51,000 combined), you SHOULD get that.

I used to have an '89 Accord Lxi & once you turned the key off, none of the power accesories worked. I don't know how old his "older Accord" was though, but it didn't work on the '89 Accords.
