CAI and reverse light sensor?

Sup yall. This little issue simply has to do with my reverse light which isn't working and I'm pretty sure it stopped working after I installed my AEM CAI a while back. I was looking at this review and discovered that the installation could've been the problem.

When I looked in my engine bay on the transmission part that requires the deep socket to be used, there's an outlet and I'm sure there USED to be a plug there! Well, now there isn't and I'm wondering if there's supposed to be one there after the installation. I tried looking in the engine bay and I couldn't find any lose wires or plugs. If this is not what caused the reverse light to stop working then I dunno what did. Any insight? Thanks.

Yes, there is a plug that plugs into the top of that sensor that you remove with the deep socket. Better find it.

Yeah there is a little plug there with a end piece, hopefully nothing has fallen into that hole, you could prob get a replacement from a honda dealer, but it may be expensive. good luck.

I'm pretty sure nothing fell into the hole but is the plug solitaire or is it connected to wiring? I was looking for some wiring attached to a plug but found nothing.

Well... I couldn't find anything so it looks like I'm gonna need a new one. I just hate to think that the outlet was exposed the entire time so I hope it still works. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I think my dad bought me a SRI for my birthday in 6 days Could anyone go through the procedures of installing it because I heard there are small things you can do wrong that can mess with electronic / engine / emmissions components. Please don't flame at me for asking this; any help would be great.

Heh, n/m! I found it. It was hard to find but I found it when I stuck a lamp in the engine bay. Let there be light!

The only things I came across installing the intake that you should look out for were minor.

The 1st big step is removing the stock intake and resonator. If you've never done it before, the only challenge is finding all the bolts. Careful not to drop any in the chassis.

The other thing is the O2 sensor that plugs into the new intake. The wires are wrapped in tape (this is evidently gonna be different on every car) and the wires to the O2 sensor were too short... so the tape had to be slightly cut carefully. If you are good with wires (or were good at the game Operation) then it's no big, just be careful if you have to do this or you could have your check-engine light on.

That goes for the emissions of course, but engine, transmission... um... I don't think you can harm your transmission unless you're incredibly clumsy. As far as the engine goes, um, don't drop anything into the intake head... which is highly unlikely.

Installing should just be like installing the CAI with lesser steps near the end I think. (Such as regrounding the transmission, bolting on the second pipe and installing the filter by going under the car.) I could be wrong but that's what I think.
