I believe everything on the outside to be the same dimensions... the sedan tails were changed, but I think the size is the same. Headlights should fit, the kits should fit. Most of the changes were on the inside, and even those were minor. Just be careful what you modify on a leased car.

Yea, dash is changed now so if you were thinking of getting dash gauges (white faced, or indiglow) make sure your getting ones specific for the new 2003 civics. The headrests in the back seat is cool too.
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

I've never driven in a 03 civic, but I've been on the driver's seat of the 03 coupe several times. The guages are slightly different and probably look better. My main concern is the area between the driver's seat and the passanger's seat. They've redesigned it so that there's a built in armrest that open up to a storage compartment. It folds upwards. I don't like this for two reasons. First, I like being able to not have the armrest in my way. Second, and most importantly, I found the sometimes I would bang my arm on the armrest while trying to shift the gears. Whether this will actually factor in while driving, I don't know. But, I just thought it was rather annoying... If you do decide to get it, let me just say: "Welcome to the family!"

For the money and proven reliability the Civic is a good solid choice.
Now, Honda cars in general ? I don't think you know what you are talking about (no offense)
And if you buy a Civic or any new car and get rattles and squeaks, I have only one word yor you..... WARRANTY
Astra, a new car with no history, Corollas, Imprezas are FUGLY (both cars are)
Mazda 6 is very nice but, more$$$$ than Civics.
