quick engine swap question

hi all i got a 2001 civic dx sedan and was wondering if you can swap engines on an automatic transmition. I did search but the topics dont mention anything about auto tranny. also anyone know roughly how much a auto - manual transmition switch costs?

even swapping with a manual tranny for our cars is hard. do a search and you'll see that the swap that is most feasible is the k20 swap

i don't know if you're just talking about swapping the tranny out or doing an engine swap. Everyone always says that it would be more worthwhile to sell the car and buy a 5 speed.....there are a whole bunch of things that need to be done to convert to 5speed. If you wanted to do a whole engine swap it is just as feisable for an auto as it is for a manual....the only thing is that you would have to put a clutch pedal and master cylinder and shifer assembly in there. Lots of $$$ but fun too
