who has them and what did you ultimately set it to, I know each car will get different results, but I'm looking for what was ballpark sucsessful for the avg. Civic, I will be running a 50 shot of nitrous. 2 degrees retard seems to be the most common, but I read somewhere that that can cause serious engine damage for everyday driving, and too much advance can cause detonation when squeezing. Anyone out there have some tips for me???

dont retard timing for a 50 shot.

and it wont do jack for you (the gear) unless you plan on tuning it on a dyno.

i got the cam gear, and have come to the conclusion that without a modified head or cams, this is almost 100% pointless. the only thing it does it screw up your timing, which either causes your car to run like crap, and further damage to the engine, OR, it will just slightly alter your power band. i played around with mine a little and didnt notice any significant differences between retarding and advancing the timing a few degrees, except that my car now boggs a little when its cold. other than that, just another cosmetic upgrade that doesnt do jack **** for our cars.

Go with what BLUENVY01 said, my 2 cents is that AEM is junk other then their CAI.
