some q's on block guards
some q's on block guards
here's a picture:

"Get the piece of mind of solid cylinder walls with your high performance engine. Constructed of aircarft aluminum, the block guard slides right into the block sleeve for an easy install."
Does the block guard sit on top of the cylinders or where exactly is it located with regards to the cylinders?
I would like to know if cars come from the factory with a block guard or if only certain cars (i.e. sports cars) come with it.
If someone can show a pic or give a link of the block and where the guard is that would be great

Block Guards are used by engine builders around the world. It is made out of aluminum and designed to fit between the block and the floating cylinder walls to strengthen the walls on modified engines. On this product it seems the block guard has drilled holes along the coolant track to allow proper coolant flow as well.
