Rep Power: 292 Start Up Trick???
does any one know how to start up a dead battery car with
a 5-speed??
There's a way to start up a manual without jumper cables when
you leave your headlites on and the battery dies out......
Yes....it is possible.....

Rep Power: 0 Let your car roll down a hill. When you get enough speed let out the clutch in a higher gear and the car should start. Make sure the ignition is on the ON position. You also might need to give it a little gas. I've done it a few times just to see if it works and it does. Is this bad for the engine??

Rep Power: 281 Yes, a bunch of peopel pushing would get enough speed. You really dont need to be going that fast, just enough to drag the tires a bit when you let out the clutch. I'd recomend doing it in second gear.

Rep Power: 0 it actually mentions in our owner's manual that this won't work for an automatic, but I don't know whether or not it was explained fully for the manual transmission.

Rep Power: 0 not horrible for your engine, it's just compression starting it, but it's not great for your clutch. i'd say it's the hardest on your clutch. and our cars really are beyond easy to push, good luck with that.
