Can Someone Explain Gear Ratios?
I ran a search on gear ratios and all I got was the difference between the LX and EX.
I'm curious on how to translate those numbers into how it affects acceleration and top speed.
If possible, can one draw a diagram so that I can have a visual?
Many thanks in advance, I crave the knowledge and unfortunately I am in the dark on this one.

its real simple
say the gear ratio is 4:1.....every time the engine turns 4 times, the wheel turns once (obviously this is extremly simplified)..but you get the idea
it the gear ratio is shorter, such as 4:1, as oppsed to 1:1, the car will accelerate quicker in that gear......like any "overdrive" gear is a gear w/ a ratio lower then 1:1, such as .98:1 is considered an overdrive....
too tired to keep rambling random information, im going to bed
