ENGINE SWAP WIT H RSX TYPE-S MOTOR??

Hey whats up guys. I talked to hasprot yesterday they said they will be offering a kit that allows the RSX engine bolt up to our cars!! Great I am doing that swap immeditely after that kit comes out. BUt the question I have is, is there a turbo out for rsx-type-s? If so where can I get it? Also when I called the dealer who sells the engines, ($6,800w/low miles and 6speed gearbox) he said they have the type r motor!! Is there such thing as an Acura RSX- Type-R?? thanks in advance for any replies

The RSX-S has a high compression ratio (11:1), and the JDM Integra-R Motor has an even higher compression ratio, (11.5:1). Not to say that that couldn't be fixed, but for a turbo setup you'd typically want a low compression engine to start with, or the process could turn out more expensive than planned.

Not too mention I'd hate to see you do the swap, and then buy the turbo kit only to have your boosting dreams halted by fitment issues, after you're already 10$k down the hole.

Type S Motor: 6-Speed 200HP
Type R Motor: 5-Speed 220HP

I could be wrong (and usually am) but I believe those are the most significant differences between the Type-S & Type-R

For turbo all you will need is any K20 engine. If you are going naturally aspired. it would be the same unless you do not intend to rebuild the engine in any way or form. If you want a good reliable engine, get the R, if not go through all the hardships and build one. Building one is half the battle and the most fun.
