UNDERDRIVE PULLEY?

Good day to all daily drivers battling these mean streets full of pot holes and man holes.

I just finshed order all my parts for my interior upgrades. Now I want to improve my engine performance. I currently have cat-back exhaust, headers, and a cold intake pipe.would changing my under drive pulley give me more HP?...and is there any other bolt ons i should know about??
thanks foy your reply in advance people.

The pullies will give you a SMALL amount of HP but if its a daily driver it will put unecessary stress on your engine

Not too sound too much of a noob, but can you elaborate? When less force is required to move an object, then in a hypothetical sense it should ease stress on the engine.... please elaborate because I can't understand why this can be.

Un-necessary stress? I have to disagree with you on that! You're removing extra stress on the engine not adding more to it.

I have AEM underdrive pullies installed and I wouldn't recommend them. I should have went with UR not AEM. They aren't bad, they give you better throttle response and lot less engine braking. As for a gain, it's about the same as the catback.

If anything the pullies will put the accessories on the engine in a more stressful situation by spining less than they are designed to spin. It won't do anything to the engine, it just diverts existing engine power away from the accessories and into the drive shaft. The pulleys are also lighter then the stock ones so that will help lessen strain on the engine as well..... go for it the only thing I'd worry about is if you have some amp set up in your trunk that's pulling massive amounts of juice from your battery, otherwise you'll be fine.

The underdrive pulleys won't do any more damage to accessories than driving around at a lower rpm than normal. Your battery may not charge as fast, but nothing bad is likely to happen (unless you're drawing a lot of amps for a sub).
