- besides checking ebay and junkyards, I don't have any advice =/ try asking your local performance shop for advice? They MIGHT be able to help. From what i've heard, you need to buy lots of little vtec things to get it all to work. Good luck, and let me know how it turns out, I'd like to do it maybe! Maybe you should get the head ported and polished too when you get it

This prolly isn't what you want to hear, but the head is $930 from the dealer. Then you need some extra oil lines, an EX computer and some other things to make VTEC work. I don't know, but could it be cheaper or just as expensive to swap an entire D17A2?
$2500 for a new motor with 8,000 miles on it.
$550 for port and polish. Only adds about .1 to .4 on the 1/4 depending on other mods.
$75 per valve for new light weight titanium valves.
$30 per rod for getting them shot peened. ( custom rods = 1500 )
$750 for 4 new je pistons.
$850 for bore and sleeving of cylinder walls.
$25 per spring for higher compresion
$1200 new return line and upgraded injector fuel system.
$7000 on my whole turbo system. ( 16 psi )
$600 custom aluminum intake manifold.
This motor is capable of 30 psi without blowing except for the shot peened rods that are only good for 16.
If you want the hook up let me know. I have all of this done. I will have pics up soon. I have pics from a throw away camera.

I work at a machine shop.
EDIT: I am still trying to find someone to make a cam. After this years SEMA show there might be a cam and rods, so they wont have to be custom.

I dont what to re grind my cam. I want a new cam. YOU CAN'T ADD TO A CAM EITHER SO.........
The motor isn't worthless. 16 psi ain't bad. I hope to get new rods to turn up the boost to about 20 and we will see then.

I have a vtec head for sale. There is a bent spark plug sleeve which would need to be removed and a new sleeve put in. There is no damage to the surface of the head or any of its parts. The head has 4000 miles on it and comes with everything you get from the dealer for $930. I will sell for $400 plus shipping.
