clutch / tranny problem

I have an LX 5 speed, and when I try to spin the tires it feels like spinning tires on ice or wet leaves, but i'm on dry pavement and the tires arent moving. sometimes when I do it i shudders, like a warn out clutch....I don't beat on it all the time or anything and it only has 19 k on it....any ideas? I don't want to take it back to they dealer yet cause they will just tell me i'm not supposed to do that????

Check all fluids first.

Are there any smells happening when you do this?

Sounds like a worn out clutch to me.

So let me get this straight... you don't beat on it, but you're trying to peel out, and you think you ate a clutch after 20K?

I said I don't beat on it all the time.....even with a good amount of beating i don't think a clutch behind a 115hp engine should burn up after 19k?

I can tell you right now, if it is a worn clutch, be prepared to pay for it. Honda does not warranty wear items, and the clutch is considered one of those. So regardless of it being defective or not, they're gonna blame you and your driving style, whatever it may be. But it does sound kinda fishy that it wears out in 19K. All the Honda stick drivers I know have made it well over 100K before it wears out. I dunno if you learned on the car and had some trouble with it or whatever, but something doesn't sound right. Who knows, maybe if you ride the dealer hard enough, they'll look for a defect in it, but it's doubtful they'll fess up to it. If it is worn, broken, whatever, you may as well look into an aftermarket heavy duty clutch. They're like 1/2 the price of the Honda factory one and prolly last longer and work better. And it would be tough for Honda to void the warranty on the car if the stock one isn't covered anyway.

well I dont have this problem but something related when I let me clutch out reall slow like parellel parking or something. i hear a ticking noise almost like the valve noise on an older honda when the they need to be adjsuted .. its at the dealer right now there thinking a throw out bearing.... I only have 16k on my 01 and I will be really upset since I have never peeled out in my car or beat on it .... well too hard at least
