Winter question ...CANADA TEMPERATURE

Hey all....

Here in canada Winter is coming and I think that in few weeks I'll have to put my car in a garage. Is there any other things to do other the unplug the battery and put it on a warm place , wax the car , fill it up full of gaz and put it on some blocks to protect the suspension....?

I think that I'll put some WD40 on my brakes disk to prevent some rust and think that I'll unbolt my seats, my tail lamp to modify them too

Other things??

Personaly I'd do a oil change, or empty the oil and put some preservative oil in the engine, without a oil filter.

Last spring, I got my oil filter blowing out when I first started my car. The mech at my dealer said it could have been cause by inert oil pressure for a long perod.

I can get more information about that, but this winter, I'll at least do good oil change, maybe two, just to make sure all / most of the used oil is out.

A good car full detailling would be appropriate too.

My advice.

Didnt you changed your location in your profile ?

Where are you from in Beauce ? I havent seen a green Civic like your avatar in town....

Wouldnt your car be a DX,LX or SI instead of an EX ? We dont have EX in Canada...

That's just great you're not one of thoses loosers who buy a DX and crank it up with stickers and unappropriate emblems I cant wait to see your car! What about a small meeting in Quebec Area, fill up the parliament frontside and take pictures

I have a Canadian LX... that is about an EX without the engine.. wich I am looking for actualy, you know where I can get one ? You said you are looking to swap your engine when this one will die.. what about selling it to me before it does

Drop me a line for the meeting if you think it is a good idea!

Rider...my family stores cars very year. Revove the battery. Fill up with he highest octane you can..prefeably esso..(has alot f additives that keep the fuel stable). put a box of partly opend bakng soda in the car (n the sping it won't smell as moldy. and Start the car up every 2-3 weeksand run it untill it gets warm. Otherwise the oil rings may rust.

Cheers
