Nitrous Question

Do you have to drill a whole in your engine to install nitrous or is there another way? I know that the AEM fuel rail has a port for nitrous and whats that all about?

Any responses would be appreciated.

you probably need to either have it done professionally, or do a lot more research before installing n2o. Two things have to be modified. First you will have to drill a hole into your intake piping (if you have aftermarket intake). If not you will drill a hole in your airbox and put the fogger there. I dont suggest the latter. The second thing you have to modify is your fuel line, installing a T that taps into the fuel line bringing in fuel to the fogger (assuming your running a wet kit).

The only time you would ever drill into your "engine" and thats a very very very loose term, would be direct port nitrous injection, when you drill into your intake manifold.

no. it completly depends of what type of N20 system you want, and then it depends on what style (ie, wet, dry, direct port wet, etc...) minimal will have you drilling nto your intake and splicing the fuel/vacume line. most will require you to tap ports into your intake manifold.

or for the fuel source you could skip the T fitting and yes tap into the fuel rail such as the AEM for fuel (wet kit)

If your not experienced and wish to DIY it i suggest ZEX, it is a dry fogger system and very easy to install you will need to drill a port in your Intake facing the jet's toward your TB, and run a vaccum line to a FPR. If you want a wet system there are other brands NX/NoS etc etc and i suggest professional install due to the complexity of the system's.

I don't think that the install looked too bad at all.

Exactly which system would be best for our cars? Not really looking for brand, just like which system to get from nitrous express for example.
