Clearing Altezza tail lights
hey wassup...im startin to get really sick of my altezza tail lights..and i was wonderin if it would be possible to take apart my tail light cover and removing the red lenses and leavin just the red bulbs...something similiar to clearing my head lights...im thinkin if its as easy as clearing my headlights it should take me no more than 5-10 mins to do each tail light..seein how it took me less than 5 mins to clear my headlight thanx to my helpful 650F heatgun..lol

not sure which altezzas you have but i'm sure its possible as they tend to leak... ride did it.. even painted it and kept the cover off.. it looks real nice... oh and he made sure the seals were tight around the actual light lens tho.

yeah...can someone please confirm whether or not it is illegal or not...to have red bulbs instead of lenses for your tail light...also if i do get pulled over..u think i can get away with it..if i show them the DOT inscribed cover that APC has on their taillights

in cali, the taillight has to reflect red, not just emit red. so yes i would guess its illegal if its all clear, but its not a moving violation, just a fix-it ticket. as for the DOT tag, i doubt it cause its like smoking your tails, you still have the DOT tag but its still illegal. i really dont care about the fix it ticket but i am worried about someone rear ending me and blaming the tails so that i cant get my money. thats how my car got totalled, some idot hit my parked car.
