What, push rods? $177 each for those is a lot of money! If they're push rods, then a full set would be $1416!

Oh, connecting rods. Yeah, $177 each isn't that bad I guess... That's still $708 for a set though. I wonder how they look like? All aluminum maybe? Larger and thicker of course? I guess the rods are the first thing to go under higher compression and/or boost pressures.

ELITE...
all i can say is WHOA! you just take the cake on saying something RIDICULOUS. i know some people would rather build up an SOHC, but to spend $2000 on a set of titanium pistons, because you say your gonna get a turbo set up...

man, just do it and take some pictures before u go runnin your mouth. this site seems to be full of kids who are just talk... nothing but talk!

actually, the rods and cranks in honda's usually hold up pretty well under boost. the first thing to go is usually the ring lands on the pistons. on the b series motors the stock rods can hold up to something like 500hp with proper tuning.

I would do some metallurgy research on titanium. From what I¡¦ve read its not a very friendly metal. At very high temps it likes to ¡§leach¡¨out at other metals. I¡¦m not saying titanium piston suck. It just mite cost more to make it workout right. Maybe something like ceramic coating the piston mite help, thats going to be another $200-$600

Anybody have any info on the d17 rods? I was wondering if they were the same as d16 rods.
Why is everybody on crower jock? What about eagle rods?

Okay..if your gnna run enough boost to warrant new pistons..pistns are the lastthing you should worry about.. first you'd hve to use Studs to hold the ead down.not bolts. Second..you'd really want to get cast Iron sleeve insterts for the cylinders..the alum block will wear mighty fast under boost. Some serious headwork for better flow.otherwise your high end HP will be VERY limited due to flow problems..The Connecting rods would then have to be replaced to support the added pressure. The fuel system would have to be re-done..new injectors would be needed. Alot of Fuel Map tuning..then..if you want to further increase boost...some low compression Pistons...Otherwise..just the HKS kit with it's 5-7 Psi boost is the best you can hope for....even under that boost the cylinder walls will wear quickly..
