stock spark plugs
I only have about 3,000 miles on my 2002 Civic ex. I just checked the plugs today and the compressing from the cylinder is blowing right up through the center of the plug. It's a Denso. I've had a Neon R/T before and it did the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hehe. Something is messed up .. He means the spark plug gap. If it's too close it'll mess up. . If it's too far it wont work. . So check that. make sure it's ok. Some of the plugs you buy aren't the right gap and you need to reset them.
No I'm talking about the plugs that come with the car. They run fine but if you look at the top of the plug where the white meets the metal there are burned streaks up the side of the top of the plug.

thanks for tring to help anyway. I guess I can't explan it then. I'm not talking about the electrode on the bottom. I'm talking about the top of the plug. I just ordered some new plugs anyway so it doesn't realy matter I guess. I was just tring to see if anyone had the same problem as me.
Guess I would have to try to get a picture of it to show you. Nobody is getting what I'm talking about. I know it must not be normal because I've worked at a chysler dealer and a volkswagen repair shop and I've never seen this happen. Other then on my 2 cars.
Sounds like it's just arcing a bit from the coil pack to the plug. If it's the same on all the plugs it's probably normal, if it's just one you can just try reseating the coil or replacing the plug.
That is posible I guess. At least that would make some sense, because it's from the bottom the the coil wire to the metal socket part on the plug. Yes it is all of the plugs. They look the same. I have not had any problems with them though. I ended up ordering NGK's yesterday. I know everone sounds like they use Denso's but I've never realy heard of them before. So I'm going to try the NGK's. They are supose to be about the same. Anyone used them?

I know exactly what it is your talking about. It's fine, isn't a problem at all. My plugs looked like that since I first checked them at 1,000. If the electrodes are fine and the plugs are still in one peice, then you have nothing to worry about.
