No, 2 people have actually cracked open there Altezza's and painted the inside. One was Pedrito and the other was that guy with the Custom Bright Green almost Lime Green Civic. They actually opened them up and painted them. I think the guy with the Green Civic said he put them in Hot water to loosen the seal. Or you could toss them in the oven. Just don't over season them.

It takes alot of hard work but it can be done.
Its kinda like clearing your headlights.
Im thinking about smoking my clear tailights, or painting them red.

how could you smoke your tails? is there a special kind of smoking paint, or would normal DIY window tint work?

I've seen smoke paint made "for taillights" by a company called Foliatec.

It's not all the difficult if you're the least bit mechanically inclined.... I bought TYC tails for the wifes coupe when they first came out (been a good year or so now...???) anyhow... silver coupe... chrome housing...

opened them, painted them body color and painted the headlight housings too (while 'clearing' them) while I had the gun out.

Again... just use a little common sense... it's not hard.. (hell I swapped my S-10 p/u front end to an S-10 blazer front end about 4 years ago... took all day long to crack the h/lights open to get the orange lens out... point is, it's possible if you want to... don't be a pu55y)
