does anyone know exactly what is contained in the vtec engine verses the nonvtec engine, i figured, its the head ecu vtec controller, but is there anything else, because there was this guy selling his vtec engine on ebay, for 300, hopefully it is vtec, but can someone with experience help me out here, oh and another thing, why has this forum been so dead lately, i havent seen any new posts in forever, someone needs to pick up some new information, talk about headers and such, or just find out about new parts and post it geeze, thanks again

When you say "vtec controller" are you talking about the vtec solenoid? Cause you'll need that. If you get the ex ecu, then you'll need to get the ex exhaust system, or buy a new header, cat, and exhaust... can't think of any more at the moment...

i dont know what the vtec controler is[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG], but someone posted it before, and if it is the vtec sillenoid, then of course, exhaust and all that stuff, thatd be great, but isnt it the same chasis i wouldnt have to change much except when i buy the header and a high flow cat, thats not changing anything much is it. hopefully

man i just saw an ex head on ebay for 80 bucks, i was gonna get it but it went to like 150 or so, i said oh well, i think ill just wait to buy all that good stuff. heheh, hopefully i can find out the vtec swap in my car. later

whats all this phx crap i keep seeing? Anyways... why didnt you just buy the EX, then sell what you have and get something else... by the time you put all that money into it to make it an ex, you could have sold your ride and bought something a lot faster! its not gunna be worth the money to notice just a few HP... use your money on a custom turbo or some internal engine work instead!
