Help with front turn signals

Ok...I recently cleared my headlights and it looks really nice except for the fact that I don't want the turn signals on whenever my headlights are on. Is there any way that I can adjust it so that the turn signals only light up when I need to make a turn?
Any info would be helpful...thnx

Search for it, cause I know I've seen it, but I'm too lazy to search for it myself, yes it can be done, but I dont't think it's legal.

All you have to do is replace the 7443 bulb with a 7440 bulb.

Why wouldn't it be legal for you to not have your turn signals lit up if you aren't turning???? I dont see the logic in that. There's no reason the bulb cant be off while you're driving then flash when you want to turn.

Are you sure changing the bulb will affect when it blinks? It seems as though you'd have to mess with some wires...I'm just not sure which ones

Yes, i've heard about the bulb change.

But, why would it light when you clear them and not when they're not? I'm thinking it's the parking light that's on, not the turn signal.

Click on the link and find out how to use just the 7440 bulb for the signal light to go on and not go on when the parking lights are on... link

Well I believe it's a law that you have to have orange lights on all the time in front. So all cars are like that, check it out sometime.
amber and white front signals are both legal. for the rear, it has to be either amber or red.
Thats from the linked thread. So you could pass over the parking lights for your turn signals if any cop feels like arguing over it.

You will have to have the parking lights working. No way around that
