I've been checking with the local auto stores since I bought my 2001, 5 speed EX last year and none of them can find a K&N air filter for these cars. About 4 months ago I contacted K&N and they said one should be available in about 90 days. Well we have passed the 90 day mark and still no K&N air filter. Does anyone know of another company that makes a high performance air filter that will fit our cars?

Do you mean as a drop in? K&N should have one soon, according to their webpage. No other drop ins available yet. You can always get a CAI or SRI

are you talking about the drop-in filter (that goes with ur stock intake) or the cone filter ?

The only things out from K&N are the FIPK thing and their Typhoon intake (part #69-1007T...add S, B, or R at the end for the color)

Yup, I am referring to the drop in. I'd rather use a K&N, but they seem to be taking a long time to put one on the market

NO K&N, i keep bugging them, all they tell me is that it's in the works...so don't hold your breath on seeing it any time soon, the dummies have put their R&D time into developing overpriced intakes WTF......there are no replacements and even if someone made one before they did, i would still hold out for the K&N......
