Dash Kit Install

I have a problem. I bought the dash kit from the civicstore.com and it didn't come with any adhesive promoter. It supposed to be put on the dash and then you stick on the dash kit. I don't have it. Anybody know where I can buy some or what I can use to help the dash kit stick on? I emailed thecivicstore.com and they said they would send me some but I don't want to wait? Anybody know if I can buy it at the store?

If your kit has the tape, just wipe the areas to adhese with isopropyl alcohol and stick it on there. You shouldn't need any "adhesive promoter" (???). OEM kit didn't have any. Just alcohol (from home) and 3M tape.

Just go to any drug store or Walmart, etc. for the isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. If that was what you were talking about. Get the lowest concentration you can find, because there will be more than one strength. Lower the better. If you're talking about the 3M tape, well it should be on the back of all your trim pieces? Good luck.

I emailed the civicstore.com and they are going to send me some adhesive promoter. They told me it wouldn't stick withut it. My friend just installed his oem kit and he said he put glue on the back of the kit and it stuck on really good. He said just be carefull becuase the glue dries too quick.

be careful when you clean the dash with alcohol, you may damage the finish
