Have your car off, turn the key to the "ON" position, hold the odometer button for about 30 seconds. After that turn off your car. That's it...you are good to go!
I took mine in at 10k when the light went solid.. (at 15k now) and they did the check up for free...
they just checked to be sure nothing was majorly wrong. and changed all the fluids.
Cost me nothing... I would talk to them about it.. they should do it free.

the light is JUST a warning telling you to bring ur car for service.. you SHOULD take it for the 10,000 mile check. I just resetted mine because it was annoying, that's it...but i'm going to take it to the 10,000 miles service.
I have read the entire manual a few times... fun. I read a lot

actually, honda reccommends you service it at 7500 miles, i got a coupon book for all of my regular scheduled services from my dealer, which is good for free servicing or a large discount off of the service price.
LOL zetaR your right, ok whew my light came on and i thought i did something wrong but thank god i didnt, thanks for posting this problem i thought somthing majorly wrong, even tho it drove ok!
okay...i have 8k right now and my service light is blinking,
if I take it to honda for a "service check" and they notice that I've put an CAI, STRUT BAR and a Catback exhaust
would that void my warranty??
how does this work? I dont wanna take it to them cause they'll probably take note of my "mods"
and then blame me in the future if something goes wrong with my car.
has anyone experience this??

I wouldn't take it in. I would just reset it myself. There will just look the car over. You can do that yourself.
You just turn you key off, hold in on your trip counter button while you turn the key on. Then keep holding it till the light goes out. That should do it.

i ahve a ? about this because im coming up on the 10000 mark. i have like 9176 miles on my car. but the thing is i lowered my car with skunk2 coilovers. will they say something to me or say they wont do the check up because i have a lowered car? or should i just raise up the thing for one day?
