screen just came in

ok myh LCD screen just came in the mail

and it has a power and a ground wire that is supposed to hook up to a DC 12v...

how in the hell am i gonna get this to work in my car?

that's all? those 2 wires are only for power. if that's all the wires you have, i would return it

wow...hum....how do i connect the power and ground wire...if you really need the answer to that question pay someone else to install it...the red wire goes to any swtiched positive wire that is a wire which only recieves power when the car is turned on or put in accesory mode...such as the red and white stripped wire in the steering column...the back wire can be grounded to any metal part of the chasis.

hmmmm....

i bought a switch so that i can toggle the power on and off
all i have to do is route it to the fuse box and ground the black wire

but the tricky part is doing it

If you connect to the fuse box, make sure you fuse the red wire as close to the fuse box as possible.

Your best bet would be to use the fuse box under the steering wheel. Don't run it through the engine bay. That alternator will cause some funny magic.

if youre doing that, just run a wire straight from the battery to the switch, the power from the screen to the switch, ground the other wire on the screen to the chassis and ground the switch to the chassis.
