anyone know how long your clutch is supposed to last?
I got a 2k1 civic SI and have almost 50 000km on it
lately the clutch is slipping a lot
and it started to have that burning clutch smell once or twice , but i drive it the same as i did when i bought it.
And its not that i dont know how to drive a manual car, cause i let few other people with standard cars to try my car and the same thing happens to them.
Does anyone know if the clutch is covered under our warranty?

don't use the cluth at all.....just jam that biaaatch into gear. It will really save wear and tear on your clutch.
No, for real I think it should last longer than that. Check with your dealer maybe.

well, if you know how to drive a stick correctly and you don't abuse it, it should last you quite a long time. my mom had an old eclipse with over a hundred thousand miles with the orginal clutch.

Haha... yeah! Just jam it into gear and freeshift. A lady brought her brand new 2002 Si by the dealer the other day for us to replace her THIRD transmission. She, somehow, has convinced herself that using the clutch is for sillies or something.
