Oven temp for sedan headlights
Oven temp for sedan headlights
Whast the temperature you guys have used to soften up the headlight sealant? Im gonna do it later today and I just want to make sure at what temp to put them in at and for how long. Dont want to melt them or anything.
300 F for 2 minutes.....I had the temp up to 375 and almost forgot about them luckily nothing melted.......pull them out with some gloves and get to work on them right away before the glue hardens.......scrape out as much as you can before it cools,,,it'll make for a cleaner seal....
For the sedan? Maybe Honda specifically made the sedan ones unique than the coupes, but 300 is very high and does not fully heat the heads. Going at 250 or below for at least 5 minutes will do fine. I did not use an oven. I used a x-acto blade and cut it open and closed it back. The seal is fine and I do not have condensation in my lights. It only cost me the bulbs I changed and I did not have to change the blubs. ~ ASWZero
