If you want to keep with the 5-20 grade since Mobil doesn't offer it go with Amsoil.....You can order it from there site.......

I say if the motor has a few miles on it (mine has 43,500 currently), I say go 5w30, and go synthetic. I like to raise the revs on mine here and there, synthetic offers more protection. I use Mobil 1 also, but thought about ordering the AMSoil 5w30. Mobil one is good, but from what I hear/read, AMSoil is the way to go.

I was under the impression that you could switch to synthetic at any time but once you start using it, there is no going back. Is this true or false?

Not that I'm aware of. I was told by the dealer, at the oil change, use all of either, conventional or synthetic. Not sure why, never got into that with him.

You can go back but why? You know how I feel about synthetic. When I got my new clutch installed the guy put in the standard Honda gear oil. Man oh man the difference was night and day from Royal Purple SyncroMax gear oil. Feels like I got rocks in my gearbox again. Will be changing back next week ASAP!!!! I'm almost ready to buy you some and ship it out there just so you will know the feeling!
