I had an accident a while back and sine then my handling has been a little weak...i think i figured out what is causing it...on the driver side, there is a three finger gap between the rear tire and the car;the gap is much wider on the passenger rear tire...what would cause this? blown shock? or what?

Rep Power: 0 Does the car still have the factory springs on it? If so, it's probably a weak spring, The shocks don't support the weight of the car, thats what the springs are for. I had that problem with my old 2000 Civic Ex, the rear drivers side was lower than the rear passenger side, it was just a weak spring.

Rep Power: 0 I posted a message about this very thing in the Problems section. I have about 4000 miles on my LX sedan (no wrecks - knock wood), and I have noticed the same thing: the passenger side wheel gap is noticeably wider than the driver's side. It's usually only me in the car, and I am 6' 1", 225 lbs. Is the weak spring issue something the dealer should take care of, or is some settling normal? My Civic does have some of the suspension groans and creaks that many people have complained of.
Should I be worried about this?
