HELP! DIY valve cover painting (error)

HELP! DIY valve cover painting (error)

hey guys,
the DIY link for the valve cover painting isn't working, i've tried several different times from different computers, so i guess the link is bad...

i just want to paint the "Honda" and the "VTEC" (on the valve cover) "silver" and leave the rest black, I DONT WANT TO PAINT THE ENTIRE VALVE COVER, can anyone pls help me.


(oh yeah taping it off, does not work, too many details)

first off, i did the DIY valve cover. and somethin is just messed up on the site here.......learn your car parts...youre wanting to paint the plastic wire cover....NOT valve cover ......durrrrr....... anyway, just use touch up paint and patients, it works nicely

just take your time with a small touch up brush, it should take about 15-20 minutes for a good job. and learn your parts, as mugenracer so eloquently put it.

You can go to a hobby shop too and get a paint pen...I found one in silver cuz I painted my wire cover yellow with silver raised letters...

ok, so the WIRE COVER does not have to be painted with high heat paint?

Nah, not really. It may get to something like 40 degrees C, or 120 degrees F. If the plastic can take it, then so can the paint.

just curious...do we have to primer the fuse box and the cover...before we paint it...cuz for me i wanted to paint my black cover and fuse box mettalice blue...but every time i paint it...it comes out dark blue

I think you just answered your own question. Yes! Use a primer. Preferably white.
