Hey, don’t try to replace the LED if you are not an experienced electrician.
I fryed my wires trying to replace them and it cost me like $200 bucks for the dealership to fix it

i'm removing the little stock bulbs and replacing them with wired led bulbs. this is simpler than you think. the leds will be powered by 12v source in which i will tap into. also, does anyone know how to remove the amber films behind the ac/defrost/recirculate buttons? i see 2 screws holding the back but i can't seem to pry it out after removing the screws. or do the buttons just pop out from the front? thanks.

unleaded: the buttons pop off, just pry hard from one side...

also, as for "...wired led bulbs. this is simpler than you think"... not really. have you considered the fact that LEDs have a VERY TINY viewing angle? incandescent bulbs throw light out in every direction, LEDs do not. they won't be as bright as you think. and if you're wiring in your own LEDs (as opposed to ordering LED bulb-replacements, which is probably gonna run in the $100's to replace all the bulbs in the dash), are you aware that nearly all LEDs have a maximum voltage of about 4--5 volts? that means soldering on a resistor to EACH LED. i wouldn't call this "simple".

bhayes, so the buttons just pop off huh? thanks. in regards to the led's, i'm not wiring my own led's, they come prewired. all i have to do is connect one wire to the power source and the other to the ground just like any other bulbs. what do you think?
