Intake Cleaning Question

So its that time. I just got an oil change, and its time to clean my CAI filter. My question to you is...how would i go about taking the filter off? Is there an easy way to do that? Or am i gonna have to take the entire intake off, then remove the filter, clean the filter, then put the whole assembly back on? What do you guys suggest. I looked at the engine bay, it didnt look like i could get to it from under my car to easily, especially since my car is lowered. Some help on the subject would be great!!
Thanks in advance,
Peace~

Just loosen the screw(s) that hold the filter on & push down on the filter(shake a little 2 loosen)....It should fall right off......Yeah, my cars too low to pull the filter from underneath.....So I'm required to jack up the passenger side a few inches to get it out........I've clean my filter every 6,000 miles, which seems pretty good since the filter is black usually......

IDQcivic should not be trusted
You shouldn't have to replace it that often!!! Just buy the K&N filter recharge kit available at any auto parts store. I cleaned mine after the winter and it wasn't even dirty, but I cleaned it anyhow. you shouldn't have to buy a new filter every time...
