went today to the track and !!!!!!!!
today i finally went to tha track to see how fast my car is [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] i dammmmmmmmm a own a titanic my best q/m 16.8@82mph and i own a 2002 ex vtec .........my only mod is a AEM intake(cai) and tb cables adjustment what can i do to make my car run faster i was thinking dc sports header and AEM pulley's
any tip or trick let me know ...........

unorthadox pulleys...might wanna ask family man bout them...he had some trouble...skunk2 exhaust...hp header...other than that...nitrous, custom turbo, engine swap, buy a new car...next time look around a little more...this type of thing has been discussed a lot already...

take off the dohc vtec sticker. it's adding too much weight to your vehicle. that'll get you down the track faster! j/p

it's kinda hard to tell if it's a D or an S cuz the picture is blury. anyway, instead of taking the sticker off, take out your interior. that should get you down the track a little faster.

oh... it's SOHC. I knew the 7th gen civic is a SOHC, but i've only seen DOHC VTEC Si stickers...so i thought you put that one up. Nice though.

HP header with high flow cat, dc header wont do anything if u dont have a high flow car or a straight downpipe. Also exhaust and oh yeah u wana run low 14 high 13? Oh ok NITROUS

why would you want that? we have single overhead cam engines...not dual. that on our cars = RICE!

OOOOOOOOOOO yeah........ I have the same exact ride......You have no hope, unless a turbo comes out, you're going to have to live with 16's. I've got AEM pulleys, AEM intake, and DC header.....still slow. There's always the good old Nitrous Express kit though. Good Luck[IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]

The only thing you wanna remove from the car is the spare, anything else doesnt weight that much and isnt worth the time spent taking it out and putting it back in.

Yeah i didnt wanna be a poseur puttin DOHC stickers on my car, so im doin it custom, got the VTEC part from the dealer, and im havin a local graphics shop do the SOHC. Hmmm, i have a cat back, the extra 1 hp, may give me a 16.799. lol.

I would say the cheapest thing to do is, like someone already said, remove the spare tire. Also, there's been a few posts about people finding random pieces of scrap metal in varoius places on the car. If you get rid of some of those, it might help. Otherwise, parts wise, it seems an intake/header/exhaust combination might net you an additional 15HP if you're REALLY lucky. But those are some options. Otherwise, NO2, a custom turbo, or an engine swap are going to be your only other significant gains. Best o' luck man ..

If you want to start running in the the 15 and 14s, I've heard ppl on this site do it with just nitrous oxide. Not too expensive if your really into racing on the track.

Practice your launches, go to a back road or parking lot one night and just work on it. I have personally seen bone stock ex 5 speeds run 15.9's and someone on this site ran a 15.8 stock, practice amkes perfect. Peace
