Radio recpetion depends on signal strength at your location. First you have to find out whether it is your radio that has a problem or you are located in a noisy/weak signal area. AM is more susepctible to interference, esp. if your spark plug wire is not connected properly.
For AM/FM Dxing the GE SuperRadio is the best. Does the job inexpensively.

XM isnt going to be around that long. They are having a hard time geting enough subscribers. There were some questions about that at a DishNetwork meeting, and we were all told not to expect much from them.

02Celica-gts....Dont listen to this *****. My good friend is a pioneer rep and deals mainly with XM. It is becoming so popular they have talked about putting another satellite up. They can not keep up with the demand of users. It's 10$ a month, with a one time 10$ setup fee if you do it over the net, or 15$ over the phone. I have it, and it ROCKS!!!!

what about sirius? it seems to be about as popular as XM, and I don't want to be in the wrong boat when one of them takes over. I think Ii'll wait.
how about getting one of those little antenna booster things and sticking it on your back windshield?
