Dual Exhaust on a 2001 Civic EX?
Dual Exhaust on a 2001 Civic EX?
Hey guys. I'm thinking of putting a catback dual exhaust Y pipe system. Has anyone tried this yet? or heard of any positive/negative feedback on this idea? Any brand recommendations? Any insite or feedback at all would be cool. Thanks guys!
In a nutshell:
Twin muffler exhaust -- not ideal for making hp, difficult to tune...results don't justify expense. Strictly for show. Additional weight
Single muffler exhaust -- the best systems are tailor-made and tuned for the car and provide the best real gains. Strictly for go. Lighter weight than stock in most cases

I saw this car in person this weekend, it looks and sounds really sweet, but I can't tell you either way about performance.

Here's another one: pakman313's ride
OMG...Redfog, that car is ugly...I mean, it's got some good parts and all but the overall execution is just not well done--especially that retina-searing interior. The owner better love it 'cause it's certainly a love-it-or-hate-it proposition.

that isn't redfog's car.... that car is sweet in person, so whoever is bashing it here, see it in person first before you say it's nasty

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHA HAHAHA!
i think a dual exhaust would look nice not rice, but only on foreign cars witht the right body kit, i saw 2 cavaliers that were stock and had dual exhaust and they looked so
It seems like everybody has their own opinion on this, some say it looses back pressure, makes the car slower. Some say back pressure doesn't matter, it's Delta pressure you don't wanna loose, so Dual Exhaust is fine.... I want to know if anyone out there has put on dual exhaust, and dyno'd the car, and really KNOWS "wow, my car is slower" or "nice, my car is faster". Thanks guys. BTW, Any other recommendations on brand?
i think dual exhaust would be cool
i dont really care that much about hp gains and what not cuz i know that civics are slow
im not much of a racer unless im in my beamer
but anyways
im thinking of doing dual exhaust once i get my kit
cuz otherwise it wont look good
just my opinion
