Rep Power: 0 Louc click and popping sound
Okay so me and my friend put on my front Konis since it had blown and now I hear a loud clicking noise and kind of a popping noise. It does it when I first take off. It sounds like when your cv joints are out and you turn. Except it doesn't do it when I turn. When I catch speed it goes away but when I slow down I hear it. Anybody know what it could be? BTW I have Ground Control coilovers.

Rep Power: 0 I just read a thread on something happening to another person. Could it be my brakes like I read on the other thread? or is it something else? Will it go away?

Rep Power: 0 Well last night I drove my car and the noise was really loud and sounded like something was about to come off so I put it back in the garage. As soon as my friend gets home from work we are going to look at it. Hopefully it will go away becuase it is too loud and sounds nasty going down the street.

Rep Power: 0 Well me and my friend looked at everything and everyting was ok. But one of the studs broke off when I tried to take off the tire. Now I have only three and the other ones look like they are about to come off also. My friend told me its the rim that is making that noise becuase it wants to come off. But the three lugs are on tight. I think I will replace all 4 lugs and hopefully that will stop the noise. Anybody know how much that should cost if they replace all 4 studs?

Rep Power: 0 Go to this: LINK. Look at part #7. When you steer it rotates in the space in your fender well. When I lowered my car, it was put in wrong (I only fits one way correctly on the assembly) and rubbed, making the loud clicking and popping sound that I think you guys are experiencing. Check it out. When installed correctly problem is solved.

Rep Power: 0 I HAD THAT PROBLEM WHEN I HAD SOME R1 COILOVERS. FOR ME IT WAS TWO THINGS: THE DUST BOOTS THET CONECTS YOUR UPPER TIE ROD TO YOUR STRUT TOWER WERE BAD AND HAD NO GREASE IN THEM WHICH CAUSED SOME NOISE WHENEVER I TURNED. THE REASON YOU CANT HEAR IT WHILE YOU ARE GOING FAST IS THAT THE WIND AND OTHER THINGS BLOKE OUT THE NOISE. THE OTHER THING COULD BE THAT YOUR BEARING WASHERS IN YOUR COILOVERS ARE NOT GREASED UP AND IT KREAKES REALLY BAD. THE HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMET PUT MY NEW EIBACH PRO KITS ON AND THOSE COILOVERS WHERE JUNK. HOPE I HELPED YOU OUT

Rep Power: 0 Well we put everything back in the right way so I don't think it is that part. When I hear that noise and I let go of the steering wheel it shakes like if the rim is going to come off but the rim doesn't look like it moves. Has this happened to anyone before when they hear this lound noise or is it becuase I might need new studs?

Rep Power: 0 Just wanted to let everyone know that the noise has stopped. I got all new studs and the noise went away. They told me if I had drove another couple of miles that my rim would have fell off. I'm glad I got it fixed.
