Help with Ground-Controls!
My right rear coilover adjusting screw is stripped I believe. The allen wrench fits but when I try to turn it, it comes out of place. I took a look at it and it seems as if the allen wrench is gripping allsides except one. Because of this I cant adjust my rear, which I really need to. Also, How can I remove the stripped screw without messing up my coilovers? has anyone else have this problem? I've only had them for 10 months and only adjusted them Twice! How can they be stripped already?
i would either take a flat head screw driver that barely fits into the two deepest points of the hexagonal allen pattern and tap it in with a hammer and try to unscrew it! Or maybe a 1 size bigger allen and tap it in! If your using metric allen then try standars they might have a size that barely fits!or if its not too tight then put some super glue in the head of the allen bolt and then put in the wrench ! let dry and then gingerly try to unscrew! or go buy a broken bolt remover at any tool town or lowes hardware! dakota

i wouldn't try to get it out because if you can't tighten it later there is no way you can drive your car since the suspension is the part of the car that touches the ground and if it f*cks up you can be in serious danger. Just take it to a shop and replace the screw or buy a new coil over just for the back if they sell it individually. How did the allen screw get stripped?? You adjust your coils too much?
So when are you gonna read the whole post?? he said he only adjusted twice? I guess twice is too mnay times! Hey just take out the screw and go to a lowes or a auto parts store or a hardware store and replace the screw! sheesh! Dakota
