Non-Civic Help Please....

I just baught a truck for 100$'s and it was running as well as could be expected untill yesterday. When I try to start it, it just wouldnt start. The voltage was low until the car started so I replaced the battery. Well now it has 12v when I turn the key, but when I try to start it just clicks...and clicks...and every once in a while turns over but very very roughly....is this the starter? Or do I have more serious problems?

Considering you bought the truck for $100, it probably has more serious problems.

It's the starter. The clicker you here is the solenoid pushing the gear in the starter to the flywheel. The solenoid is working, but the starter isn't rotating which is why your truck won't start. Replace the starter, but you'll probably get more problems down the line since the truck was only 100 bucks.

might want to check the battery cables too, if they are bad it will act just like a bad starter. If you're lucky it will be the cables--they're cheaper.

CHECK ALL POINTS IN THE CHARGING AND STARTING SYSTEM WHERE WIRES ARE BOLTED OR GROUNDED....CLEAN THEM UP. THEN TRY STARTING AGAIN......
