Injen Intake
Does the Injen Race Division CAI have any kind of bypass valve integrated in the design. And is it really that big and issue with the Injen intake. Also is the HP/Performance gain that noticable and how does it compare with the AEM CAI.
Dazed and Confused as usual.

No integration of the bypass valve.
Not a big issue unless you live in an area that floods alot.
The performance gain is definately noticeable.
About the same as AEM performance wise but the injen does locate the filter outside of the engine bay where it can draw
cooler air and thus, create more power.

<< Get the Injen, you won't be disappointed! >>
AEM is promoting Injen,....Never thought I'd see that one

The only Injen intake available for our civics (2001+) is the racing division CAI which is one piece, and you can't put a bypass valve into a one piece intake. If you want to get the bypass valve, you might want to get the AEM short ram. I heard with or without a bypass valve is not much of difference unless you are going to drive through deep water puddles. Another thing I heard about intakes is that get CAI if you are driving a stick, get short ram for automatics.
hope this helps...

WHAT???.......Injen CAI one piece???....I dont have it....but im pretty sure its 2.....
And even if its 1 you can cut the pipe and stick it in.....
MANY members on this board have Injen CAI w/ AEM bypass........
Don't give out the wrong info Bro....

Okay two things for wonderz over there..... 1. The injen CAI is two pieces, upper pipe and lower pipe (both manual and auto, Race Division, I have one, I know) and 2. Why in the world would you want a bypass value for a SRI anyways!?!??! Kinda defeats the purpose don't you think?

Yep, the injen cai is two pieces. One pipe goes fromt he tb to just ahead of the battery. Then, the second pipe connects and goes down below the battery and into the bumper. I think that if you just connected the filter to the end of the first pipe that it would very closely resemble the aem model.
Yes Injen is the best!
And you can run it with just the 1st pipe as I run it that way right now cause its been raining. too much junk in filter with two piece. Will run both in summer

Hm...I know Injen CAI are 2 pieces, but for the Race Division CAI, if its 2 pieces, it has to be 1 short piece and 1 long long piece...Sorry if I gave out the wrong or misleading info
So you guys that bought the Injen Race Division CAI can install the AEM bypass valve easily w/o cutting the piping or anything unusual?
If that's true, I am getting one. Thx
...sorry once again.

You're supposed to cut where the loop is and attach the bypass valve... the bypass valve is supposed to be on the same line as the throttle body
yea, but why would you spend so much on injen?? its like 2 bills, when u can get obx cold air for $70. Its just the name. Same K&N filter, the only difference is piping. How much different can piping be?

So you guys have to cut the pipe inorder to insert the bypass valve?
The only reason I will get an AEM or Injen is because they are carb legal, but I am still trying to see if they are carb legal or not. For people that got either the AEM or Injen intake, please tell me if they are carb legal...Thanks

Thanks a lot for the carb info
But I am still confused about whether you have to cut pipe to insert the bypass valve into the Injen Race Division CAI...Thx
