2010 Power Door Lock Kits??
My daughter owns a 2010 Honda Civic.
It came without power door locks, something she has sense regretted.
I would like to surprise her by installing after market power door locks, but the Honda dealership wants a fortune. Therefore I want to buy and install them myself.
Can someone reccomend a dependable and resonably priced power door lock kit for this car?
I have found this kit:
http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/...Code=W02C-712T -
and this key:
https://www.ikeyless.com/vehicles/Ho...c/2010/1000431
But I am not a Honda expert and have never installed a kit like this in any of my cars (all pre-1980 muscle cars!) I really need everyones advice.
Thanks
Ivan

Re: 2010 Power Door Lock Kits??
You litterally got me scratching my head....
What's wrong with the honda power locks?
It only has 1 purpose
It's like saying you want a gold bolt because you dont like the chrome bolt....
at the end of the day, it's still a bolt
If you mean ALARM, that might be different....

Somebody didn't read he doesnt want to pay Honda's price.
Should be OK guy. It's alarms that get complicated. Simple doors locks should give u very little trouble.
I driven enough cars that no way am going to have to put the dang key in, even in my old car I put in a remote trunk unlock, when I want to throw in packages.

Re: 2010 Power Door Lock Kits??
oooh, sorry, I misread
I thought he said "It came with power lock doors, and I wanna install aftermarket ones"
sorry
I'm pretty sure that power lock wont be too hard
I think local stores around where I live charge less than 200 for the kit + install
I'm suprised, I thought all 2010 cars should already have power locks equiped, and just alarms are optional
