K20A head swap

I live in Japan and own a 2002 Honda Stream RN3. I've been doing a little studying because I want to do some surgery to my engine. Aparently the engine I have is the K20A4 but I could be wrong. (it might be K20A3). Stock it puts out 156ps and I estimate that now it puts out about 170?? Anyway so far I have given it a CAT-back stainless exhaust system, a BLITZ air intake system, an i-VTEC / fuel controller and a few other mods.

I want to give it the cylinder head from the Civic / Integra TypeR K20A (K20A2?) as this engine produces around 220ps. I'd go for the whole engine but it's quite expensive (about 400,000yen / 5000 dollars) which is why I want to do just the head. That will give me VTEC on the intake AND exhaust side of the head, not just the intake. Plus I should be able to keep my automatic transmission. If anyone knows any better please set me straight. I need to learn as much as possible.

Re: K20A head swap

You have the k20a4 and not sure on the power but to put the k20a head on your k20a4 you will have to put the k20a pistons and rods in it cause the k20a head is built for the k20a's high compression and I seriously doubt that the automatic tranni will work with this setup.

Re: K20A head swap

It was just a thought, but, oh well, I guess I'll have to do it the hard way.
