Couple quick ones about my 01 EX
Couple quick ones about my 01 EX
Getting a cheap ebay intake, and am gonna swap the filter. Heard the best about AEM's dryflows so far but not sure on the size. Can anyone confirm, I'm pretty sure that it's the 2.75 x 5" that will fit.
Also wondering about fuel system cleaners as part of regular maintenance. I just picked this girl up and she's got 185k miles on her. I've also heard there's no fuel filter...?
Last, any recommendations for spark plugs?

I'd wait til the pipe came in, then actually measure it. It's prolly a 2.5" pipe, but I can't be too sure. Unless, of course, the ebay seller says what size pipe it is.

there's a buncha different sizes there.. When you get it, do a rough diameter measurement,.. unless you have a caliper, then use that to get the pipe diameter

Lol yeah, I have no idea how it got that many miles on it. Got it from my local mechanic (who I actually trust), and he got it at an auction.
So, I have no idea how the hell that many miles got on her. Doesn't burn a drop of oil though and still runs like a damn champ, besides that darn SRS light...

try resetting the SRS light and see if it comes on. Check that the seat belt connections underneath both seats are plugged in before that though.
If you turn on the car with those plugs unplugged, it'll trigger the SRS light and keep it on

You don't need to buy the SCS plug like the DIY article shows. It's only a jumper wire between 2 points. I used a piece of wire that I looped around and only took out one of the wires during the "disconnect scs plug" portions

I've used the STP complete fuel system cleaner. Kinda improved gas mileage by a little bit for a while
