Manifold swap
So, i have a 2005 honda civic, with a D17-A1 and im looking to change the intake manifold from the top mount throttlebody to the side mount like the SI's, will the D17 V-tec head intake manifold bolt up properly or if theres a better manifold im compleatly open to suggestions

The d17A2 maniforl is the same for the a1. Your best bet it to do the d16Y8 manifold swap. If you do a search on this forum you will find many DIY on the subject. Looks like this. I love mine though I was a little bummed I had to lose the Cruse control but I was just to lazy to figure out a way to keep it.

Things you will need
D16Y8 manifold
D16Y8 Manifold gasket
D16 throttle body or addapetr plate to make the d17 tb fit
D16 Fuel rail and inj.
Stock d17 inj are 185cc i think. the 96 d16y8 inj are also 185cc.
also going to need a good knowledge your car and a wire diagram to rewire the TPS and A/ICV to make those work.
Like I said there is a DIY on here for this swap.
