Hey ya'll, just started to notice my ac clutch rattling as ac is turned on or off... it is an itermit problem. Question is anyone replaced this ( d series motor) with the compressor still on car? My ac blows like a blizzard and I dont wanna remove and have to shell out the cash for a proper recharge.

I am pretty certain you will have to remove it to work on properly.

You might want to get a whole unit, the clutch and field coil can be pretty expensive.

If it works I would leave it.
