Help with installation of underglow on 01 Civic?
Hey there I just bought some underglow lights for my 2001 Honda Civic EX 2-door and I was going to get my dad to just put them on but he was having trouble getting the mounts screwed in, the screws kept breaking off and he wasn't to sure exactly where was best to mount them....any help or suggestions on this would be appreciated thanks. ((or should I just take it to a place to get them put on but I would rather not spend $80-120 more since i already almost dished out a $100 on the lgihts themself)
Re: Help with installation of underglow on 01 Civic?
the light are so much cheaper on ebay...but just try n find any place thats solid and use good drill bits before putting the screw in. gotta drill fisrt with a much smaller drill bit and use the screw. make sure he knows wheres hes drilling before he does. im thinking bout getting my self some lights also so ill let you know how that goes lol
Re: Help with installation of underglow on 01 Civic?
i mounted mine behind the metal lip that sticks out on the sides if you get under the car you will see what im talking about. the front bat on my car does not shine down because i didn't want to remove or modify my splash gaurd it illuminates my grill. the back bar i had to modify the bumper for it to shine down i just used a dremal tool and cut enough out to fit the bar making sure to leave enough to mount it. as for the screws either make pilot holes or get stronger self taping screws but it will still be difficult to get them in. on another note i disconnected my leds awhile ago because they got old and i never really used them to begin with because there illegal and you cant use them on the streets only parking lots.ill take some pics for you later.
