Rep Power: 0 Odometer reads 30,000 more when I left the mechanic
Hi - I had an oil change this morning at a shop that I usually do not go to. Half way home I realized that my odometer was now reading 30,000 miles more than it did when I first turned on the engine that morning (from 54,000 to 84,000). I drive a 2006 Honda Civic. Is this something the mechanic could have fooled with or a simple error when resetting the maintence light? He claims he had nothing to do with it, so I am at a loss on how to deal with this.
Any advice and or help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

You sure he didn't change it to display Kilometers instead of Miles?
I'm inexperienced with 8th gens but I'm pretty sure they can be changed with just the push of a button (one of the buttons that could be to do with the Maintenance reset). Have a look in your manual.

I would have noticed the speedometer would change/display in KM too...50mph would be 80kph on the way home
