94 ex radio removal
94 ex radio removal
Hey, I have a radio issue on my 94 ex. The radio won't work(probably since some dumbass tried to jump my car while I was on the phone and hooked it up backwards) and I think it is the fuse in the back of the radio as I was told by an audio store employee. I know how to remove the console as the manual says, but I'm having a hard time finding how to disable the SRS system. I'm a little paranoid about this going off while I'm working, so if anyone has the answer, or better yet knows where to find this information in a haynes manual, that would be greatly appreciated. I have tried to find it but have had no luck for a week.
THANKS!!

Re: 94 ex radio removal
Is it a stock unit or aftermarket? Some aftermarket units have a fuse on the back, but the car's fuses would be the first ones to go. There is a fuse under the hood that provides constant 12 volts for memory retention and a fuse under the drivers dash for ignition signal. Signs those fuses may be blown include a non-functioning clock and/or cig lighter.

It's an aftermarket unit, it came with the car when I bought it a month ago. The fuse under the hood looks good, but the car has no cover panel for the under-dash fuses so I don't know which one is which.
