power steering

my fluid looks like mud and is well past due. searches on here keep saying to use only honda fluid. Is there any cheaper equivalent that sells by the quart rather than miniature bottle? I expect its going to take me several of those small ones to suck and replace fluid out of the reservoir. I would like to do it cheaper than the honda fluid if i can. If not, i'll just use the honda fluid.

Re: power steering

not honda fluid use power steering fluid for honda. There is only two types of p/s fluid in the world. One for honda/acura and one for everything else

Re: power steering

just use honda, its not worth it for the rack damage and poor steering response from other fluids. one bottle can prolly fill the canister twice. i only changed mine once by disconnecting the hose going to the bottle and draining that fluid, then filling the bottle back up. i drove it for a week to mix (and turning side to side), and the fluid still looks clean. dont forget to check the level after driving around, it will usually go down to MIN the first time and you have to add a bit more to bring to MAX.
