Clutch Problems
Clutch Problems
Ok here is my problem, about 6 months ago I switched over to a 5 puck brass button clutch everything thing was going fine bar one thing that happened today. I was stopped at a set of lights sitting in neutral with the clutch out and when it came to move clutch in, into first it had a bit of resistance which isn't unusual for my box but this time I and stalled, reason is the clutch didn't come back out when I let it off, like when you bleed it just sat pushed against the floor? Shifted to neutral and could obviously start the car again but couldn't shift into gear even with the clutch flat against the floor...
so I sat on the side of the road and ran through what could be wrong, nothing leaking from the slave or master cylinder from what I could see from a very quick inspection and judging by the fact it wouldn't move into gear while the car was running the clutch was engaging so I ruled out problems with the clutch fork moved back into the car to find any leaks or faults and I pulled the clutch pedal up with my hand like what you do when you bleed and it just kinda popped back into place and magically worked fine which confused me so I just nursed it home with no hard shifting or anything. So im kinda guessing that it has an air bubble or some sort of other fluid problem with in the line but there is full clutch fluid in the reservoir and I thought I bled it pretty well when I did it and especially after 6 months and no sign of any spongy feel in the pedal, im gonna just bleed it anyways but im open to suggestions if you have had the same thing or have input
thanks

Re: Clutch Problems
1. you need to add some punctuation to your posts.
2. bleed your clutch system over again
3. if you're still having this problem after your clutch bleed, replace your slave cylinder.
