In the helms manual it says to take a straigth edge, meaning some straight not some off the shelf ruler, and measure diagonally from the top right bolt hole to bottom left, top left to bottom right, and up and down and left to righ both as center as possible. I can't think of the tolerances off hand but if you see a gap with your eye, its prolly warped.

well being that old, i wouldve taken it to a machine shop and have the whole head checked out for warpage, compression, and get it cleaned up. carquest has a machine shop out back if you have those in your area.

Re: need overheating help!-

if u want a serious turbo you will need to redo the head with all new parts and I would suggest new pistons. I believe honda pistons are very good and the connecting rods are the flawed part, maybe wrong, but if you just want like 5-8 psi when you rebuild the motor just look over everything and try and get a manual with every internal spec and measure everything. Honda motors last a long time if they are well maintained. But without ever doing a turbo build, I don't know what's good and whats not sorry.
