Smile Type R rear lip and exhaust?

I wanted to get a type r rear lip but i am afraid that it will cover over the exhaust. Does anyone have an idea if this would happen?

Re: Type R rear lip and exhaust?

depends on what kind of exhaust. stock exhaust with a chrome tip will fit, but aftermarket mufflers will probably require some modification and cutting or else u'll be getting a lot of banging.

If i end up having to modify, whats the best thing for cutting the abs plastic? I got a feeling that i am going to have to modify it.

Re: Type R rear lip and exhaust?

yea, someone else suggested that too. I am debating. Why are the stock rear so much more popular than anything else out there?

The car came with it straight from the factory.

Well, do you like any of the Fast and the Furious movies?

Honestly, yea i liked the movies. So i guess that may give you some insight into why i like the tails i have on now. But i did the the stock ones too. In your opinion, you would say to go back to the OEM tails?

Most definitely go OEM. I'm sure in the near future you'll love the way it looks. Nice car though. I love our cars in white!

Yea i love the white, but the tan interior is not so cool. I really would like to do a tan to black like some others have. I noticed in your profile pic that you have projector headlights. How do you like them? I was thinking about getting some. I will probably swap back to the OEM ones. I think the ones one there have just kinda grown on me. But the OEM ones will too.

Tan to black seems like a lot of work to me, but it will look a whole lot better.

As for the projector headlights, the ones I'm using were actually retrofitted into OEM headlights. The projectors can be used from BMW, TSX, TL, and others. S2000 projectors, especially, the AP1 is overall the best in terms of output with width and color. I'm using e46 (BMW.. I believe the M3 projectors) that I picked up from a friend. Don't buy the ebay projectors and use HIDs.. you'll most likely end up with glare. Plus, the ebay projectors weren't made for HIDs; they were made for regular halogen bulbs.

There are many threads here on HIDs and HID retrofits. You should check them out.

Let me know if you need more pix or if you have questions. I'll try my best to answer them.
